Did you know that Tennessee ranks 48th in the nation for recycling with only 5% of residents participating? As proud Tennesseans at Green Village, we know we can do better and we’re here to help! 

Recycling plays a crucial role in protecting our environment and conserving natural resources. That cardboard box you threw in the trash? It could be repurposed in 60 days or less. By reprocessing used materials, we not only protect our limited natural resources but also divert unnecessary waste from landfills.  

Many residents also aren’t aware that middle Tennessee is facing a critical landfill problem.  Many of our landfills are expected to reach capacity and close within the next decade. When that happens, we’ll have to divert trash further away – increasing waste management and utility costs for all residents. At Green Village, we hope to extend the life of our landfills while growing our business and adding jobs to the community.  

Long story short? Recycling is good for the environment and economy. A win-win for all of us.
